Getting in the Game – Learning about Overwatch Players

In a time when everything seems to be very boring and very dull, without anything interesting happening, it might seem quite fun to try to save the world from a bunch of robots trying to destroy all humanity. Still, like any other game, you will also need to properly organize your strategy – and that means using top Overwatch players to round up your team.

Bear in mind, however, that each player will have their own purpose – so before you start on with the game, you first need to decide exactly who you want to be. Do you want to help from the shadows, or do you want to dive headstrong into the battlefield? Based on how you wish to act, you will be very different Overwatch players.

Overwatch Players Gameplay

As an Overwatch player, you are simply joining an objective-based game, where two teams will be going against one another. The Overwatch player count is 5 members per team, each of them featuring their own role. All the servers on which the Overwatch active players are playing on have Blizzard as a host.

The players have five modes in which they may play. They can go for a quick play, a competitive play, a match against the AI, a weekly competition, or a custom game. Plus, if all they want to do is get better (without making fools of themselves), they may also go for the tutorial or the practice range.

At this point, Overwatch league players can choose between 26 heroes and 20 maps – with that number being still in development. Every map or hero that gets developed shall be added at no extra cost.

The Overwatch Player Roles

Even the best Overwatch player will have a role to play – each of them having their own importance. Here is what you may choose from.

  • Tank Players: As a tank hero, you will pretty much have to soak up the “bulk damage” and shatter the fortified positions of your enemies. Narrow checkpoints, closed groups – a tank player should easily be able to crash through that. If your role is that of the tank, then you are pretty much the one leading the charge.
  • Damage: If hiding in a tank does not seem appealing to you, but you still want to deal some damage, then you might want to be a Damage player. This way, you may use quite a lot of fancy tools, abilities and fighting styles to take down your enemies.
  • Support: Damage heroes are quite efficient – but since they are fragile and exposed, they need quite a lot of support. This is where the Support player comes in, as they help their allies by boosting their power, shielding them, or healing their wounds.

Overwatch can be a very fun game – provided you know how to properly level up. Keep playing, and you will see how your hero is evolving.
