Valorant Tournament Options – Which One Should You Keep an Eye on?
Valorant is not the oldest eSport game in the world, but it certainly gathered a large audience and a lot of players during the two years during which it’s been available. This was enough for the game’s eSports scene to develop, leading to numerous spectacular players and teams that make each gaming tournament very entertaining.
Valorant tournaments take place annually, with all participants aiming to become champions. If you’re new to the Valorant scene, chances are you’re not aware of every Valorant tournament you can watch.
Here are the names you should watch for on the Valorant schedule:
1. Valorant Champions Tour
The Valorant Champions tour was one of the eSport events that fans were very excited about in 2021. What makes this tournament so special is the fact that it includes some of the greatest teams in competitive Valorant.
The event features a very high prize pool, with all participants working hard to get a chance to win it. In comparison to the Valorant Champions Tour, all other online tournaments seem very small. While the 2021 event took place in December, this year’s Champions tour will unfold in September.
There are three stages in this event, making it one of the most unique tournament formats. Several smaller events are part of each stage, and they all lead to the final step: the Valorant Masters tournament.
But in 2022, things will be a bit different. Instead of three stages, there will only be two, respectively the Challengers and Masters.
2. Red Bull Campus Clutch
One of the most anticipated Valorant eSports tournaments of 2022 is the Red Bull Campus Clutch. This will be the World Final Stage edition, meaning it will be the last event of the sort.
One year ago, Anubis Gaming won the event, and they were able to watch the Berlin Valorant Masters tournament through an invitation.
In this tournament, there will be 12 teams, all of them from different geographical areas. The prize pool is €20.000, so all participants are bound to work very hard. While the tournament will not be the longest, it will make all watchers happy.
3. EPIC.LAN
EPIC.LAN never disappoints – and last year was proof of that. They organized a Valorant event, respectively the EPIC.LAN #34 tournament. 16 teams from Europe participated in the games. Unlike many other Valorant events, this one was played offline.
Fans are now expecting to see another Valorant EPIC.LAN event on the Valorant tournament schedule. Considering the success of the last one, we may get another such tournament in the future.
Conclusion
There are many great Valorant events you can watch this year – you just need to know which ones are the best. The Valorant Championship Tour is bound to be another huge success, while the Red Bull Campus Clutch event has something in store too. Check the schedule to know when the competitions begin.
