Valorant Players – How to Find Your Player Category
Valorant is a first-person shooter game that relies very much on strategy and thorough planning. As each team has 5 players, each player will also need to figure out what their role is. Whether you are on the attack or the defense, all Valorant players need to know precisely what their next step should be in the game. If you plan on joining the eSports scene as one of the best Valorant players, here is what you need to know.
Categories of Professional Valorant Players
Valorant players – commonly referred to as Agents – are split into four categories, each with their role. Your style of playing will generally determine which category you will be playing. Valorant eSports players are, therefore, placed in the following categories:
1. Duelists
Duelists are the Valorant pro players that are usually set on the frontlines. They are the primary attackers within a team, and such a member is often considered the best player since they can handle any kind of battle situation.
2. Initiators
Initiators often act as support Agents, as well as help disrupt the battlefield. For example, if the duelists cannot break past the enemy lines, the Initiators will clear the path.
3. Controllers
Controllers are the top Valorant players that are in charge of the strategic part of the game – meaning the plan. They will help shape the battlefield, whether it’s for the attack or the defense.
4. Sentinels
Sentinels are also referred to as reinforcements on the battlefield. Their role is to stay in the back and stay alive as much as they can, increasing their team’s chances of winning as they reach the end of a round.
Valorant Players Count
Each Valorant player has the chance to make it into the league match history as one of the best players in the game. There is a lot of action going on in this game, with each player trying to make it into the top 10 Valorant player rankings. The more games you win, the higher your chances will be that you will earn bigger prizes.
At the moment, Valorant has more than 15 million active players on the platform, each using advanced weapons and skins to win against their enemy. Out of those players, an average of 1.5 million of them log each day into the game. These players can choose the character that they want, making the most out of their skills and abilities. There are a total of 12 set characters to choose from.
The Bottom Line
Valorant has a character for each player type. They can discover those characters, hone their skills, and win tournaments together with their team. Whether you are a beginner or a professional Valorant player, you have all the chances of making your way up the ranks.
